I've been feeling a bit under the weather this past week, so today I was excited to get dolled-up and get out of the house.  The colors and the pattern mixing of this outfit felt whimsical and cheerful, and certainly made me feel better. After living in sweats for days, it just feels good to put on a dress.

Speaking of getting all dolled-up, do you notice anything new around here?  I'm so excited to present my new blog make-over.  I am thrilled with how soft, sweet and feminine it is.  The lovely from Natasha from Paper Crowns did an amazing job and she has been such a pleasure to work with.  I am blown away with her creativity and talent.  I hope you all love it as much as I do.

It's such a beautiful day, it makes me smile.  Even Monday's aren't so bad when the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.  Sorry if that sounds cheesy, I'm just in a good mood.  I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my beautiful friends and family.  I feel like such a lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love and happiness.  I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing year.  Thank you all again for your birthday wishes, you truly made me smile.

Ahh.. the warm days of Summer.  I've been living in loose, comfortable blouses and shorts.  This outfit is the epitome of long Summer days.  I'm usually not so colorful, but lately I've been loving vibrant colors and interesting prints.  You might notice I've been wearing more Anthro than usual.  There's a little secret behind that... my birthday is coming up (in FIVE days... EEK!) and I've been taking advantage of my birthday discount!  One of my favorite perks to getting a year older.  And it helps that they've had amazingly cute things this Summer!

I want to mention a bit about the amazing jewelry that I'm wearing.  The pieces are from Art of Henri, a jewelry company founded by the mother and daughter team Marie Armato and Natalie Torre.  Their jewelry has an organic feel, that is rustic and elegant all at the same time.  They use vibrant natural gemstones and beautiful metals to handcraft one-of-a-kind jewelry.  It is modern, wearable art.  You may have seen some of their collection at Anthropologie.  You can see their full collection on their website and read more about this beautiful mother and daughter team.  I find their story and their jewelry to be incredibly inspiring.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  This weekend was beautiful and I spent a lot of time outdoors.  I'm pretty excited about our latest endeavor here at home.  We got bees!  Marty has spent the last couple of months researching bees and making honey and he's worked really hard getting all the supplies and building the bee boxes. Over the weekend we finally got our first bees.  I'm beyond excited!  I can't wait to share pictures of our first batch of honey.  Since we are learning as we go, I'll be sure to share about our adventures.
